Platinum coated on titanium surface by sintering or plating. If the current density is big, we will use plating method. If the current density is small, sintering after brush coating is usually to be used.
Platinum coated titanium anode can be used in any working condition. Such coating is widely used in water ionizer, electroplating, acidic electrolyzed-oxidizing water, HHO and so on.
The features of platinum coated titanium anode: 1. Platinum electrodes have strong corrosion resistance and high catalytic activity. 2. With high oxygen evolution potential and low hydrogen evolution potential, it is not only an excellent anode material but also a high-performance cathode material. 3. High current efficiency, corrosion resistance, and can reversible polarity. 4. The Pt layer has good ductility, which gives the anode good bonding strength.
The industry standard for ionized water is alkaline reduced water with a pH value of 7.5-10 and an ORP ≤ -250mV. The higher the pH value within the standard range, the better. The lower the ORP, the stronger the reducibility and the better the water quality. The pH value of acidic reducing water is 2.5-6.5, with an ORP ≥ 300mV. The lower the pH value within the standard range, the better. The higher the ORP, the stronger the reducibility and the better the water quality. Platinum is widely used as an electrode material in fields such as electroplating, electrolytic synthesis, electrochemical wastewater treatment, and fuel cells. Platinum electrodes have strong corrosion resistance, high catalytic activity, high oxygen evolution potential, and low hydrogen evolution potential. They are not only excellent anode materials but also excellent cathode materials. Except for a few mixed acids, platinum exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, and most electrolyte solutions. Many important electrochemical industrial fields, such as hydrogen peroxide, ammonium persulfate, electrolyzed water, etc., can be used as anode materials in their production. However, platinum resources are scarce and expensive, especially in the industrial application of electrode materials with large areas. It is not feasible to directly use pure platinum anodes in production, which restricts the promotion and application of platinum electrodes in the electrochemical industry. In order to save electrode costs and platinum resources, it is necessary to use titanium based platinum anodes instead of pure platinum anodes. Currently, the titanium based platinum anode mainly adopts the P salt electroplating process, which has the main problems of large waste of electroplating solution, high cost, and poor adhesion of the platinum layer of the electroplated platinum metal.
Our company has developed a platinum coating technology, which has the advantages of low cost, simple production process, and good adhesion. In the experiment, it was shown that the electrolysis effect was better than that of ruthenium iridium coating, and alkaline ionized water with pH=9.5 or above could be obtained, while acidic ionized water with ORP above -250mv and pH=3-4 could be obtained.
Platinum coated titanium anode can be customized. Any type can be produced.
