Description

We are sintering precious metals on to pure titanium surface to produce a product called TITANIUM ANODE, or MMO(mixed metal oxide) coated titanium anode. Someone named it titanium electrode or DSA(dimension stable anode). Titanium Anode has capability of oxygen evolution and chlorine evolution, which depend on different catalytic coatings.

RuO2 coated titanium anode is usually used in sodium hypochlorite generator, electroplating, Chlor-alkali industry，Chlorate industry, electrolysis to produce chlorine dioxide, acid water electrolysis, electrolysis of seawater to produce chlorine, sterilization and algae removal of circulating water in power plants, electroplating of metals in chloride systems, ion water electrolysis, electrodialysis, etc.

RuO2 coating is better to be used in chlorine evolution reaction. Chlorine is including HCLO, CLO-, CL2, which can applied for disinfection and inhibits algae growth.

Anode: 2Cl- → Cl2 + 2e
Cathode: 2H2O+2e → 2OH- + H2
Electrolyte: Cl2+H2O → HOCL + CL- + H+
HOCL → H+ +OCl-
